Maranello, 1 August 2016 – Today the Pirelli P Zero tyres that will be introduced for the 2017 Formula 1 World Championship will make their track debut at the Fiorano circuit. They feature a different tread that is 25% wider than the current tyres and the dry specification will only be used for two installation laps. The rest of the day will be given over to evaluating the Intermediates and Wets, running on the artificially watered track. At the wheel of an SF15-T, specifically modified to give the level of aerodynamic downforce expected from next year’s cars and adapted to run the new tyres, will be Sebastian Vettel.

Hockenheim, 31 July – Sebastian Vettel finished his home race, the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim in fifth place, crossing the line four seconds ahead of sixth placed team-mate Kimi Raikkonen. Lewis Hamilton stood on the top step of the podium, the winner for Mercedes
Maurizio Arrivabene: ”While one week ago, in Hungary, our race pace was totally respectable, here in Hockenheim we experienced again some issues with both mechanical grip and down force, which unfortunately are not unknown to us. Obviously, we must react as quickly as possible to cure these problems and most of all we must lose not to too much time in the process. Having been jumped in the Constructors’ championship only pushes us to react, and perform better in the second part of the season, after the summer break.”
Adler, 31 July 2016 – Day two of the fourth round of Ferrari Challenge Europe, held at the first ever Ferrari Racing Days in Russia, saw Bjorn Grossmann and Vladimir Atoev (Pirelli Am) repeat their wins in Race-1 in the Trofeo Pirelli, while in the Coppa Shell victory went to championship leader Thomas Loefflad.
Charles Leclerc finished third in the second and final of this weekend’s GP3 Series races. Thanks to this strong showing, the Monegasque Ferrari Driver Academy student moves into the lead of the championship. Antonio Fuoco was out of luck this morning, after winning yesterday’s Race 1. The Trident team driver was involved in a collision early on in the race and finished 18th. Giuliano Alesi came home in 14th place.
Hockenheim, 30 July – There will be an all-red third row on the grid for the German Grand Prix. Come the end of today’s qualifying at Hockenheim, Kimi Raikkonen set the fifth fastest time of 1.15.142, with Sebastian Vettel right behind him in sixth in 1.15.315. Nico Rosberg will start from pole, having set the fastest lap of 1.14.363 in his Mercedes.
Francorchamps, 30 July 2016 – Michal Broniszewski sealed the 2016 Blancpain GT Sports Club Overall Drivers’ title at Spa-Francorchamps after claiming a second victory of the weekend after the one in the Qualification race. Elsewhere, Martin Lanting (he too did the perfect double) took a step closer to retaining his Iron Cup crown with another over-60s class win.
