Nürburg, 23 July 2016 – Qualifying for the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, Round 4 of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), starting tomorrow at 1 p.m., were chaotic and extremely difficult. The wet track and intermittent rain greatly complicated the task of drivers and teams. In GTE-Pro class, by the end of the 20-minute session, the Ferrari 488 GTE number 51 of AF Corse team secured fourth place with James Calado and Gianmaria “Gimmi” Bruni at the wheel, while its sister car, the number 71 of Davide Rigon and Sam Bird, paid for a far-from-ideal choice of tires and was relegated to seventh place. In GTE-Am class fourth place for the no. 83 AF Corse 458 Italia GTE driven by Emmanuel Collard and François Perrodo who will be joined by Rui Aguas for the race.

Mogyorod, 23 July – Antonio Fuoco came home second in the first GP3 race of the weekend at the Hungaroring, which is hosting the fourth round of the season. The Ferrari Driver Academy student held the runner-up spot from the start to the checkered flag, putting in a faultless performance in a race where there was not much overtaking. Charles Leclerc finished sixth, while Giuliano Alesi was 19th.

Gotemba, 17 July 2016  Round four of the 2016 GT Asia Series at Fuji Speedway proved to be a fantastic event, with two races full of thrills and drama. Ferrari customers team once again shined winning three out of four races during the weekend. The seventh race of the season was very much a matter of deja-vu with Singha Motorsport’s Piti Bhirom Bhakdi and Carlo Van Dam claiming their second ever win in the region’s leading GT championship exactly 12-months after they claimed their maiden win at the same venue, and in similar wet conditions.

Spielberg, 17 July 2016  The SMP Racing Ferrari 488 of Aleksey Basov and Viktor Shaytar took a lights to flag victory at Spielberg and score their second victory in the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup. The Russians finished ahead of the no. 88 Mentos Racing Porsche of Egidio Perfetti and Klaus Bachler, who had to fend off the challenge from the no. 34 TF Sport Aston Martin of Salih Yoluc and Euan Hankey for the entire race.
