The countdown has officially begun for the big event for Ferrari’s 70th anniversary. The celebratory weekend will take place on September 9-10th in Ferrari’s hometown of Maranello and will feature a number of exciting events. Clients from all over the globe will be invited for an action-packed weekend including an auction, a Concours d’Elégance of historically significant Ferrari cars, and a celebratory show.

Ferrari has organized two days of festivities in the company of thousands of customers from around the world to celebrate its 70th anniversary. Several events will be held on this special weekend. “Legend and Passion” is a celebratory auction where Sotheby’s will help sell some of the most representative models in the history of the Prancing Horse.

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Prancing Horse, Graypaul Birmingham brought the urban city of Birmingham a special, unique and the most memorable event to date in the heart of Birmingham the UK’s second biggest city. A convoy of 70 Ferrari’s drove from Solihull through to Birmingham City Centre to display a spectacular array of Ferrari’s at Victoria Square.

The Ferrari Museum of Maranello today opens its new exhibition spaces and two exhibitions – “Under the Skin” and “Infinite Red” – in the presence of President and CEO of Ferrari Sergio Marchionne, Vice President Piero Ferrari, Director of the London Design Museum Deyan Sudjic and Mayor of Maranello Massimiliano Morini.

On a gloriously sunny day in Nottinghamshire, 150 Ferrari cars were in attendance at the beautiful Belvoir Castle, as part of Graypaul Nottingham’s 70 Years of Ferrari celebrations. With models including two Enzos, a handful of Speciales, Dinos and an F40, along with a very special 1952 212/225 Inter Vignale, the event truly was a sight to behold.

Thirty years have passed since the official presentation of the F40, which took place on 21 July 1987 at the Civic Centre in Maranello, now home to the Ferrari Museum. Created to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary, it was the last car to carry the founder’s “signature”. It was a definitive car, the ultimate expression of the technology thus far developed by the Prancing Horse, but at the same time it went back to Ferrari’s roots when racing cars were also road vehicles. An extreme derivation of the 308 GTB and of the 288 GTO Evoluzione prototype, the Ferrari F40 is a masterpiece of engineering and style, which entered the collective imagination as a symbol of an era.
